Requirements for End-of-Waste Status
For plastic recyclate to no longer be considered waste, it must:
- Serve as input for mechanical or solvent-based recycling, adhering to stringent quality standards for the resulting material.
- Be overseen using a defined quality control system.
- For every consignment, adhere to a conformity declaration.
The European Regulation marks the end of existing commercial certifications.
As soon as the regulation on the cessation of waste status for plastics enters into force, we will be ready to validate your conformity determinations.
